First Open your device and make sure Grammarly is already open and running properly. Before quitting, save your current work to ensure that no important changes are lost. Although Grammarly automatically saves your progress, it is still a good idea to verify that everything has been updated correctly. Review your document one last time and confirm that all edits, corrections, and improvements have been applied. Next, make sure all changes are fully saved. Close any active Grammarly documents that you no longer need. After closing the document, return to the Grammarly dashboard. Take a moment to check that no unsaved work remains. This step helps prevent accidental loss of important content. Once you have confirmed that everything is saved, Hover your cursor over the top corner of your browser window. Locate the browser tab that contains Grammarly. Click the “X” on the Grammarly tab to close the website. This will immediately close the active Grammarly session in that tab. If you have multiple Grammarly tabs open, repeat the same process for each one. Close each Grammarly tab individually until none remain open. After that, return to your main browser window and verify that all Grammarly tabs have been closed successfully. If you would rather sign out instead of simply closing the tab, reopen Grammarly or return to an active Grammarly tab. Look at the left-side menu on the dashboard. Scroll down until you find the “Sign Out” option near the bottom of the menu. Click “Sign Out” to begin the logout process. A confirmation prompt may appear on your screen. Read the message carefully to understand the action. If you want to continue, click “Yes, Sign Out.” If you decide to remain logged in, click “Cancel” instead. After confirming, wait for Grammarly to process your request. Within a few moments, Grammarly will log you out automatically and return you to the login page. This confirms that your account has been signed out successfully. Once you are logged out, you can close your browser entirely if you are finished working. Simply click the “X” in the top-right corner of your browser window. This will fully close the browser and end your session. By following these steps, Grammarly will be completely closed or your account will be securely signed out.
