Without Yapping, Here's How To Make Slide Transition in After Effects. First open Adobe After Effects on your computer and wait for the program to load completely. After the workspace appears, create a new composition to begin your project. Set the composition settings you need, then confirm to open the timeline. Next, import two video clips from your computer into the project panel. After the clips have been imported, place both clips in the timeline in the order you want them to appear. Overlap the clips slightly so the transition area is created between them. Once the clips are arranged, select the first clip in the timeline by clicking it. Press P on the keyboard to open the Position property. Enable Position keyframes by clicking the stopwatch next to Position so the movement can be animated. This creates the first keyframe at the current playhead position. Next, move the playhead forward to the point where the transition should end. After that, slide the first clip out of the frame by changing its position value, moving it left or right depending on the direction of the slide transition. A second keyframe will be created automatically, making the first clip exit the screen during playback. After completing the first movement, select the second clip in the timeline. Place it outside the frame first so it starts off-screen in the opposite direction of the first clip. Press P again if needed and enable Position keyframes for the second clip by clicking the stopwatch. Then move the playhead to the same ending point of the transition. Slide the second clip into the frame by adjusting its position until it sits in the center of the composition. This creates a smooth sliding entrance as the first clip exits. After both animations are set, preview the result by playing the timeline from the beginning of the overlap. Watch carefully to make sure one clip slides out while the other slides in smoothly and at the same speed. Adjust keyframes if the motion feels too fast or uneven. Once everything looks correct, add the composition to the Render Queue. Check the output settings if needed, then click Render to export the final video.
