After the workspace appears, create a new composition to begin your project. Set the composition settings you need, then confirm to open the timeline. Next, import a face image or character illustration from your computer into the project panel. After the file has been imported, separate the mouth into its own layer so it can be animated independently from the rest of the face. Once the mouth layer is prepared, place all layers in the timeline so the face and mouth are visible inside the composition. Arrange the layers correctly so the mouth sits in the proper position on the face. After the layers are organized, select the mouth layer by clicking it in the timeline.
