Without Yapping, Here's How To Animate Hand Signature in After Effects. First open Adobe After Effects on your computer and wait for the program to load completely. After the workspace appears, create a new composition to begin your project. Set the composition settings you need, then confirm to open the timeline. Next, import your signature image from your computer or write the signature directly by using the Pen Tool. After the signature is ready, place it in the timeline so it becomes visible inside the composition. Once the signature layer is in position, create a new shape layer from the layer menu. After creating the shape layer, select it in the timeline. Use the Pen Tool to trace the signature path carefully over the original signature. Follow each curve and line so the traced path matches the signature shape. After completing the path, add a Stroke to the shape layer so the traced line becomes visible. Adjust the stroke size if needed so it matches the thickness of the signature. Next, click Add in the shape layer options. From the menu that appears, choose Trim Paths. This will create controls used to animate the drawing effect of the signature. Open the Trim Paths settings and find the End property. Set the End value to 0 percent so the stroke is hidden at the beginning of the timeline. After that, enable keyframes for End by clicking the stopwatch next to the property. This creates the first keyframe at the current playhead position. Next, move the playhead forward on the timeline to the point where you want the writing animation to finish. After moving the playhead, change the End value to 100 percent. A second keyframe will be created automatically. This makes the stroke animate from invisible to fully visible, creating the appearance of a hand writing the signature. After setting the keyframes, preview the animation by playing the timeline from the beginning. Watch the traced line carefully and make sure the signature is revealed smoothly from start to finish. If needed, adjust the keyframe timing until the motion looks correct. Once everything looks good, save your project file to keep your progress. After saving, add the composition to the Render Queue for exporting. Check the output settings if needed, then click Render to begin exporting the final video. Wait until the rendering process finishes. Your hand signature animation is complete.
