Today’s farm vlog is all about doing the responsible (and honestly, sometimes emotional) side of homesteading—rehoming animals. I’m rehoming the ducks and the cockerels that were added and hatched this past spring, and I’m sharing what that process looks like in real life on our little homestead. It’s not just “cute farm content”—it’s making sure the animals we raise end up in the right place and that our farm stays manageable and healthy. When you hatch babies in the spring, you don’t always get the ratios you hoped for, and extra roosters can become a real issue fast. So in this video, I’m walking through why I’m downsizing those groups, what I’m looking for when it comes to good new homes, and how I’m handling the logistics of moving them along.
