Flow-State Stabilization works so well that the insta360 could certainly replace action cameras in not all, but certain situations. When not using it for 360 video and only selectively choosing framing, the clarity and image quality can easily compete with dedicated action cameras. The area it can compete best is stabilization. A normal action camera stabilizes video by cropping in on the frame resulting in a less wide capture. Since a 360 camera captures a full 360 degree view, it does not need to crop or zoom in to stabilize a video. This ability alone can outperform any action camera in the area of stabilization. P.S. Do not try to attach anything to the top of the DJI mavic pro. It will have a tendency to block GPS signal and your drone will drift away very easily. Ask me how I know.
