Obviously overfeeding an aquarium can cause an algae bloom, but does the food itself have viable algae cells? Go to https://amzn.to/2DI5t9n and use the code SUPERSMART to save 20% on the stellar cam. Fish food can contain micro-pests and does contain algae as part of a food source, but is the algae in fish food alive? In this test the answer is no. There may be other foods out there that will grow algae, but not with the ones I tested here. In the next video I will be trying to grow algae just from what might be in the air as spores.
