#handmade #pottery #ceramic this silent pottery video, I build a cascade bonsai pot (also called a kengai pot) using soft clay slabs — no wheel involved. This type of pot is designed for cascading bonsai styles, where the tree grows downward below the rim. I usually build pots starting from the base up, but here I flipped the process — building the pot upside down to sculpt the base more freely. It’s a tricky technique with slabs this size, but great for experimenting and refining shapes. 🔹 Clay: White stoneware (40% grog, 0.5 mm) 🔹 Firing: Electric kiln, 1250°C 🔹 Build time: 4–5 hours (not time-lapse) I added feet, an inner rim, and softened the edges. Most tools are handmade — you’ll find some of them in my shop. 🎧 No talking — just clay and calm. Subtitles included. •• WANT TO SUPPORT MY WORK? •• If you want to help me tame more clay and make more videos: Patreon – low fees, great vibes (8% cut): 👉 https://bit.ly/3G9yOtf YouTube Membership – convenient, but they take a big slice (45%!): 👉 https://bit.ly/46p3fpX One-off tip?
