The first thing I don't like about this 6.4L Hemi is that is has cylinder deactivation also known as the MDS system. to me it adds very little benefits in terms of fuel economy but adds more complexity and potential failure points next is the lifter failures or the HEMI tick where the lifter roller needle bearings fail and cause a ticking noise eventually eating up the camshaft and spreading metal everywhere. this engine is also an older engine coming onto its 12th year and I think it would be very nice to see this platform updated. the next issue is the exhaust manifold studs breaking off causing a nasty exhaust leak. extremely common with the 5.7L hemi but still a common issue with this 6.4L Hemi.
