About This Video

In this vlog I’m taking y’all through my tonsillectomy experience—what it was like actually getting my tonsils removed, how recovery felt day-by-day, and what I wish I had ready ahead of time. I filmed it in real time, so you’ll see the not-so-cute parts too: the discomfort, the routines I leaned on, and the little things that made it easier to get through the worst days. If you’ve been debating surgery or you’re already scheduled, this is the kind of video I would’ve wanted to watch beforehand. I also share my recommendations—basically my “recovery cart” essentials—like keeping moisture in the air, being gentle with mouth care, and having simple comfort items within reach. I linked everything I used (humidifier, mouthwash, compress, dissolvable Tylenol packs, IKEA cart, skincare, and even my go-to bag and cozy shoes). This isn’t medical advice, just my personal experience and what helped me feel more prepared and a little more human while I healed.
