Xbox One Controller Not Connecting | Just Keeps Blinking

Sometimes it happens that an Xbox One controller just won´t connect to an Xbox One console. This can be caused by a number of things. However for me a complete restart of the console as well as disconnecting it from power usually fixes it. So this is basically how you do that + a few more tips and tricks if the full restart does not solve it.
