In this video I put two new budget-friendly TP-Link Tapo cameras head-to-head: the Tapo C216 and the Tapo C460 kit. I unbox both, walk through setup and installation, and then get into the real stuff that matters for home security—night vision performance (including color night vision), audio quality on the speaker/mic, and what the app experience is actually like day to day. The C216 is the more versatile option in my testing because it can fit a lot of different use cases, including indoor setups and outdoor placements depending on how you mount and power it. The C460 kit is all about convenience and uptime, especially with the included solar panel so you’re not constantly thinking about charging or running power. I also spend time inside the Tapo app so you can see what you’re signing up for, then I wrap with clear pros/cons for each camera and who I think should buy which one if you’re trying to keep costs down without giving up core security features.
