This is the RackMate TL1 by DeskPi, you can pick it up here: https://amzn.to/4qaFiwk Today we’re looking at the DeskPi RackMate TL1 — a 10U, 10-inch open-frame mini rack that lets you mount gear on all four sides. It’s the middle child in the RackMate lineup (bigger than the T1, smaller than the T2), and honestly… 10U is a really good sweet spot for a compact homelab or sandbox setup without turning your desk into a full-size furniture project. The TL1 ships disassembled but goes together fast, and the real win is the four-sided mounting: networking on one side, compute on another, storage tucked in, and the back handled like a responsible adult with power and cable management. It’s also got built-in LED channels with diffusers, so yes, I immediately gave it that “sketchy alley vending machine” glow. If you like tinkering, customizing, and building dense little lab stacks, this rack is dangerously fun. If you want something enclosed and “finished” out of the box, you might want one of the panel-style RackMates instead.
