Peas are one of the easiest and most rewarding vegetables to grow in the garden or allotment. In this video I’m showing you how to sow peas from seed so you can grow strong plants and enjoy plenty of delicious harvests later in the season. ⭐ Products I use for sowing peas Seed trays for starting peas https://amzn.to/3NejcMc Garden can for watering seedlings https://amzn.to/4b4NJ8f Garden twine for supporting pea plants https://amzn.to/4sEwkcm One great tip when sowing peas is to soak the seeds in water for around 24 hours before planting. This softens the seed coat and helps them germinate much faster. Another trick many gardeners use is starting peas in trays first. This protects the seeds from mice, birds, and squirrels that often dig them up if sown directly into the ground. Once the seedlings are strong enough and the weather warms up, they can be planted outside in the garden or allotment. Peas love cool weather and grow best when supported with netting or twine so they can climb and produce lots of pods. In this video we cover: • Soaking pea seeds before sowing • Sowing peas in trays for protection • Helping peas germinate faster • Planting them out when the weather warms up Growing peas is incredibly satisfying and once you start harvesting your own sweet fresh peas, you’ll never want to buy them from the shop again.
