In this video I’m talking about brand-new 2026 trucks that are still under warranty, and yet I’m already seeing the same owners coming back with the same issues. This isn’t about abuse or people skipping maintenance. The pattern I’m calling out is repeat visits: warning lights that clear and return, software updates that help briefly, sensors and modules that drift out of spec, and powertrain behavior that never fully “settles.” A truck doesn’t have to strand you to be a problem—if it keeps interrupting your life, that’s reliability slipping. I run through the Ford Ranger, Jeep Gladiator, GMC Sierra 1500, Chevy Silverado 1500, Ram 1500, Toyota Tundra, and Ford F-150. The common thread is modern complexity: tightly interdependent electronics, calibration-heavy transmissions, and comfort/tech systems that compensate until they can’t. Some of these trucks are capable and even enjoyable to drive, which is exactly why owners tolerate the problems longer—until the repeat appointments and inconsistency erode confidence. My takeaway is simple: reliability is measured over years of normal use, and repetition in the service bay matters more than marketing promises or reputation.
