The original Maxwell is still my pick, and I’ve got 500+ hours on it as a daily driver in my racing sim. It sounds better out of the box to me, the presets/EQ feel more effective, and the twist-on pad system has a huge aftermarket—plus it should be cheaper now that the sequel exists.

- +Best-in-class wireless sound for a lot of gamers (planar magnetic)
- +Presets/EQ in the app make a tremendous difference
- +Better accessory/aftermarket ear pad ecosystem
- +More secure fit for my small-to-medium head
Cons
- -Very heavy compared to typical gaming headsets
- -Stock pads can get sweaty in longer sessions
- -Limited size adjustment due to strap/peg design
