This is the ByoWave Proteus Builder I reviewed—an awesome, freaky concept in a sea of boring controllers, but my unit had major build quality issues right out of the box. The stick feels great and the software can remap, do macros, and tweak deadzones, but the pairing/account requirements and ~24ms input lag hold it back hard for competitive play.

- +Unique modular design and very comfortable ergonomics
- +Hall effect thumbstick module felt smooth with good resistance
- +Web app supports remapping, macros, deadzones, and recalibration
Cons
- -My unit arrived cracked/broken with rough cosmetic finish and strong chemical smell
- -High input lag (~24ms) with jitter and inconsistency; not great for competitive
- -Bluetooth dongle (not 2.4GHz) and the app requires an account to use
