Swirly Curly

When I’m doing a lot of hair, I reach for Swirly Curly because it’s basically a scrunchie that’s natural-girl friendly and Black-owned. I like that it helps me pull my twists back fast on lazy days, and I can even snap multiple together to make it longer for bigger styles.

What Gabrielle Ishell says

[Music] hey C friends it's Gabrielle aelle welcome to my channel today's going to be a quick and fun video I'm just going to be showing different ways you can St spring twist so it's been about 2 3 weeks since I put these in myself and you can see I got some new growth here yay um I just touched up some of the ones around the edges so that I can take some pictures but I'm going to be taking this out either tomorrow or Friday because I'm just ready for it to be out and I have my next hairstyle ready to go but anyways I'm just going to show you some ways that you can wear your hair first way it's the easiest way I do this probably every day is just twisting it twisting the hair itself and just pulling it like that and letting it go like that I think this one is super simple and cute you don't need any scrunchies rubber bands or anything to do it the hair is long enough to tie it around itself so I love this style this is literally my go-to style and then since we're doing half up half down you can do the same but you can just put in the ponytail I think this is cute as well you just use a regular scrunchie rubber band whatever you choose and and just tie it up twice and then half up half down from the front and then from there you can do a little bun just spicing the half up half down look up a little bit and you're also bringing the color cuz there's like color at the tips you're bringing that to the top so there's a little bit of color contrast I guess at the top now super simple like I said and just like an elevated look when I'm doing a lot of hair I use this swirly Curly it's like a little scrunchy but it's natural girl friendly it's blackowned um I'm going to leave her link I think she's is a YouTuber but if I wanted to just pull it back out of my face I would just put this on and wrap it around the hair like this so be in one little low ponytail and this is if I just want it out of my face lazy lazy day that's the go-to from here I don't think well actually I could put two of these together and probably make a big bun which let me try that so I love these because they're snapping or they're snappable but you can combine more than one by just snapping it together to make a longer one so if I wanted to try a bun we'll keep one down I think that will be cute but I don't know if it will hold [Music] I think this is a look yes I don't know what the back looks like think you would have work with the back a little bit but this is a look this is a look with a little Bang Yeah and obviously you can do this same style with no bang just wrap this around the top I think this is so cute okay and then while I was doing this I saw my hair in a ponytail [Music] I like it kind of hanging down like that let's get a little side profile I think this might be my favorite yes so this might be better if you really want the hair out of your face and off of your neck little upd and then you can also add some jewelry on I don't particularly like adding jewelry to my braids and twist but you can do that for a little rasle [Music] Dazzle okay and then let's see we can do um space buns [Music] [Music] and you can do them in different ways if you want the bun like skinnier but taller you wrap more of the hair underneath but I want the bun to be thicker so I'm like y'all know how to do buns right so you see how it's thicker but if I want it I can make [Music] it I can make it taller [Music] like something like that I've seen girls do that I don't like that one but I would make it thick to match the other side and you literally just twist the hair and twist it around itself and so mine aren't really that symmetric but you can play with in you can play with with it and you don't even need like this one doesn't have anything rubber band or scratchy to secure it so if your hair is thick enough if the hair is thick enough you can literally just wrap it around itself and it will just stay like that but for reinforcement you can always use a something to secure it this is giving young girl bub making me look a little bit younger than I already look I know I got a baby face already but something about space buns and then I don't have any but you can do the claw clip if you want to do a half up half down you can put the top in a ponytail and I use a clo clip underneath it those were viral last year and everyone's using those but my hair is too thick in general to be using those so I have not purchased one next one you can try to do like a braid or a Twist going back I think that would be super cute I used to do this all the time when I was relaxed you take a few strands and then like you just twist it like you're doing a flat [Music] twist you can do this and get a Bobby pen let's get a Bobby pen you can get a Bobby pen to lay it down so you have like a little twist going on you need to use more than one to hold it that could be cute and then do the same thing on the other [Music] side okay so the last one is going to be a top knot bun and it's different than the bun that I had before um because it's on top of your head hence top not so this one I like it because from the back like if I turn around you can see that there's a bun here but earlier when I did the bun it was like right here you can't really tell like especially in a picture that there's a bun so it's like more of a vis when people look at you from the front you can see that more clearly then you can see a bun that's in the back of your head there are plenty of ways you can spice up your hair when you have a protective style in whether it be box braids passion twist spring twist Marley twist whatever style you have with added hair or even know it's your own hair you can add hair jewelry as I mentioned before but you can also add flowers bows whatever you like to spice up your hair I'm kind of boring when it comes to hair I don't like putting things in my hair really I just like switching it up and doing different styles like that thanks for watching this video make sure you subscribe to my channel to check out other videos like this I do a lot of tutorials DIY protective styles speaking of that go ahead and check this video out I put in these spring TST myself I think it's satisfying to do a style like this that's so time consuming to do it yourself it's I think it's rewarding because one you're not spending $3 $400 to get your hair done although it does take a long time to do it but there's kind of a learning curve as you keep doing it I've done so many styles by now I've done box braids I've done passion twists I've done spring twists I've done feeding braids I've done many bus sprays which I will never do again because that took about 3 4 days to do um but yeah there's so many different styles you can try with protective styles in and I love doing that and switching it up a little bit from my normal everyday hairstyle go ahead and click the like button if you enjoyed this video also click the Subscribe
