WLED Christmas tree conversion with ESP32 and seed pixels

Transforming a cheap Black Friday LED Christmas tree into a fully addressable WLED masterpiece using an ESP32 and WS2812B pixels. In this video I rebuild the entire tree, double the pixel count, add power injection, and sync it with the rest of my holiday lights. The original tree looked nice on its own, but it didn’t match the rest of my synchronized holiday lighting. By converting it to WLED, I was able to fully integrate it with my house lights, roofline, and other props for a completely coordinated display. I’ll walk through the design decisions, pixel layout, power considerations, and how to make a store-bought tree look intentional instead of “out of place” in a larger WLED setup.
