CV-12 BLA Tube Driven Microphone by Avantone Pro

Today, I'm testing out the Avantone CV-12, a tube-driven, large diaphragm condenser microphone that has become an essential component in both world-renowned studios and home setups. This completely revamped circuit features a Solen Fastcap coupler and a “CK” style 34mm capsule. Additionally, the new power supply offers improved filtering, a lower signal-to-noise ratio, and increased headroom. The BLA makeover results in a CV-12 with eliminated slight upper midrange hump and enhanced headroom. The highs sound sweeter, the lows more present, and the overall balance is improved. This leads to natural sound reproduction and significantly greater versatility.
