A cautionary tale to help give realistic expectations when purchasing a vintage fountain pen second hand. Picked up both of these pens on eBay for a bit over $30 each so the price was good enough I was willing to take a gamble. The Brass Targa unfortunately was damaged to the point it could not write at all. Was able to fix it up by purchasing a second one and swapping the nibs. Luckily it was easier than I anticipated doing research on these pens thanks to the informative website I have linked below. A great resource if you need to identify one of these pens yourself. https://www.sheaffertarga.com/ The Brass one should have been produced between 1986-96 and the stainless/chrome between 1981-84.
