I'll show you how to season the steak just right to bring out all its amazing flavors. Plus, we'll whip up a tasty compound butter to top it off. It's all about making that steak extra delicious and enjoying a good drink along the way. Ingredients Used Rub: 1 Tbsp Pepper 2 Tbsp Sea Salt 1 Tbsp Garlic Powder 1 Tbsp Smoked Paprika 1 Tbsp Ground Cumin 2 Tbsp Ancho Chili Powder 2 Tbsp Brown Sugar Butter: 1 Tbsp Lime Juice Pinch of Salt 1/4 tsp Coriander 1/4 tsp Ground Cumin 2 Tbsp Cotija Cheese 1 Tbsp Cilantro 1/2 Lime zest 2 Cloves Roasted Garlic 1 Whole Chipotle Pepper in Adobo Sauce 1/2 Cup Butter Tips Use whatever smoker tickles your fancy. If you have a pellet smoker, Weber Smokey Mountain, offset, green egg or hell, even an oven. This recipe will work. Although, with an oven you won't have the smoke flavor that goes so well with bourbon. Step-by-Step Guide 1. Bring smoker up to 225-300. (Personal preference for smoke flavor and time) 2. Mix seasonings for rub and evenly coat the steak 3. Tie steak so that it is easier to handle and cooks more evenly (Optional) 4. Mix the ingredients for the butter and leave in the bowl or wrap with plastic wrap 5. Cook the steak until the internal temperature is at 10-15 degrees before what you consider cooked. We can't cook by time because it is different for everyone. GET A THERMOMETER! 6. Sear the steak evenly 7. Slice butter and place on top of the steak and let it rest (!Important) 8. Slice and enjoy!
