We attended our first van rally on the Washington coast near Olympic National Park and had no idea what to expect. We share the good, the surprising, and a few things you should know before going to a van meetup. This rally brought together about 15 vans including custom Mercedes Sprinter builds and Winnebago Revels. Instead of just parking in a field, the event included beach driving, recovery training, group drives, and plenty of time meeting other van owners around the campfire. We talk about what the people were like, how the activities worked, the group caravan drives, and whether van rallies are worth attending. We also share highlights like the recovery gear demo, driving the beach, and visiting a dispersed camping spot along a river.
