All too often, our emotions take over causing us to lose our temper or get upset. Often, bizarrely enough, a conversation in which we don’t show enough assertiveness turns into a downright slanging match, because we do not have the necessary tools at hand to express our emotions correctly. Nonviolent communication (abbreviated NVC, also called compassionate communication or collaborative communication) is an approach to communication based on principles of nonviolence.
