About This Video

In this video, I’m sharing my very first cooking video on my channel—and we’re making Indonesian pineapple cookies at home. I walk you through everything step-by-step, so it’s super beginner friendly and you can just follow along and have fun with me. I start by showing the dough ingredients (low protein flour, butter, powdered sugar, powdered milk, maizena, and egg yolks), then I also prepare the caramelized pineapple filling by shredding the pineapple and cooking it with vanilla and cinnamon. I also share little tips that make the process smoother, like straining the dry ingredients so there are no chunks (I really want the dough to be nice and smooth), greasing the baking tray with butter, and dusting the cookie mold with flour to avoid stickiness. The fun part for me is coloring the tops using egg yolk mixed with food coloring—yellow and green—and I even do a double layer so the cookies look bright and vibrant. After baking for about 15–20 minutes in a preheated oven, the cookies come out crunchy but smooth inside with that yummy pineapple filling. Trust me, it takes faster to finish the cookies than to make them—and that’s the best part.
