In this video I’m doing a root touch-up on my texturized hair, then taking y’all all the way through my wash day and silk press—plus I’m going jet black with Adore. I’m about 4 months post-texturizer and I’m not gonna lie… my hair has been doing so well, and it’s really because I’ve been staying on top of trims and actually being better to my hair. The results are finally showing, and this ended up being the best silk press I’ve ever had. I start with the touch-up, then I do a neutralizing wash to make sure everything is properly stopped and my hair is back where it needs to be. After that, I go in with Adore Jet Black (and I also mention Crystal Clear if you like to dilute or customize), and then I wash with Olaplex to keep my hair feeling strong and soft. From there it’s blow dry time—using my Revlon One-Step—and then we get into the silk press with the Conair Infinity Pro flat iron. My biggest takeaway: maintenance really is the difference, and I’m trying to keep this up so I can grow my hair down my back in 2023, chile.
