In this video I’m taking y’all through my decision to texturize my 4B natural hair—and honestly, I don’t know why I didn’t do it sooner. I was so attached to being able to say “I’m natural,” but the truth is I rarely ever wear my hair in its curly state. With my hair being low density, fine, and low porosity, I’m always looking for ways to make wash day and weekly maintenance easier without feeling like I’m fighting my hair every step of the way. I used the ORS Olive Oil texture softening system, and the biggest takeaway for me was how much more manageable my hair felt afterward. My weekly washes are just easier now, and that alone made me excited because I’m consistent with my routine when it doesn’t feel like a whole workout.
