About This Video

Hey everyone—this is Day 01 of my AWS series, and I’m doing this in a day-wise format so you get a clean plan to follow weekly and study without confusion. In this first video, I start with the ultra basics: what cloud computing actually means (cloud + computing), and how you’re already using cloud every single day through things like Gmail, Google Drive, Netflix, YouTube, Zoom, etc. The key idea is simple: you’re using computers, storage, and software over the internet instead of owning and managing physical machines yourself. Then I break down cloud service models properly—SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS—because you’ll keep hearing these terms again and again. SaaS is ready-to-use software in the browser, PaaS is a managed platform where you just build and ship (like Heroku), and IaaS is raw infrastructure where you get full control (like EC2/VMs) but you also need the skills/team to manage it. I also explain why cloud computing became a thing by comparing the old world of physical servers (expensive, slow to scale, hard to manage—think Black Friday traffic) versus today’s pay-as-you-go scaling. Finally, I set the stage for AWS essentials, billing (free tier, cost control, budgets, cost explorer), and IAM—users, groups, roles, plus root account hardening—because in real projects, access control and cost management are non-negotiable.
