🎥 In this video I review my newly purchased Chopper King Chinese Chef's knife / Cleaver. I have long been curious about Chinese Cleavers since I learned that they aren't your "typical" cleaver, i.e. thick blades designed for butchering through bones, etc. These are instead designed to slice and cut similar to our Gyuto's and Nakiri's. The edge on this is so thin you in fact CANNOT cut bone with it, or else you will damage the edge, just like our other Japanese Chef knives. With the price I paid for this knife, you truly cannot go wrong. It's made with Shirogami #2 (White Paper 2) steel, and a Stainless cladding, so a San Mai construction, and it takes a RAZOR edge for precision cuts and edge retention. I absolutely would recommend this to anyone wanting to try out this style knife!
