Instead of using a Jig Saw to cut out floor vent registers at work, I decided it would be faster to put together a floor vent rough in router jig. With a bit of practice this thing should speed up our work on vent holes a decent amount. For those that are interested in making one of these for themselves, here are the dimensions: The opening is: 10 3/8 length, 3 3/8 width The distance from the wall on top and side is: 3 15/16 The amount of plywood you leave on the other sides is up to you, however I would recommend a good enough amount to kneel on to secure the jig while you use it (roughly 12 inch's should do).
