This ratatouille is more similar to a French tian or Thomas Keller's confit byaldi, which was shown in the Disney Pixar movie Ratatouille (aka Remy's ratatouille). It might not be the traditional ratatouille (a rustic vegetable stew) that would find in the south of France, but the thinly sliced and layered vegetables present beautifully and taste amazing with their roasted, herby flavor.
