I Spent My Birthday Training and Riding My KLX 300 on a Motocross Track

I decided it would be fun to spend my birthday enduring the unrelenting coaching of legendary Australian enduro champion Shane Watts. And what better place to endure such training than an actual MX track? I had a lot fun jumping and sliding my KLX 300 around corners while practicing essential riding skills like 180 degree turns and emergency braking into fast acceleration. Shane has been offering off road motorcycle riding training for years now and this year he has added a new program dedicated specifically to ADV and dual sport riders. Shane himself was doing most of the demos on one of the oldest and most beat up Kawasaki KLR 650 bikes I have ever seen. Taking these ADV bikes on the MX track was a blast and I got a particularly good shot of Shane passing me on the track while jumping a set of whoops on the KLR. Not something you see every day. This dual sport riding training was a great way to spend my birthday with a group of fellow adventure riders. I can't wait to do it again next year.
