I’ve got DV8’s 12,000 lb synthetic recovery winch mounted up front, wired to a dedicated switch with an LED voltage readout. It hasn’t seen much action this winter, but I’m always glad it’s there for emergencies. I also like having both wired and wireless control options.
Pros
- +12,000 lb capacity with synthetic rope setup
- +Can be controlled via wired remote or wireless
- +Pairs well with a dedicated switch and voltage readout
Cons
- -May not get used often, but it’s still something you maintain for when you need it
- -Wireless remote battery can die (happens)
