We have previously explored its capabilities, but this latest addition takes literature review to a whole new level. If you have heard of Deep Search Engine (Deep SE), you will find SciSpace's Deep Review just as revolutionary. Before we dive in, make sure to subscribe to our channel so you don’t miss out on insightful content about artificial intelligence and research tools. Now, let’s explore how SciSpace’s Deep Review feature can transform the way we conduct literature reviews. Getting Started with SciSpace Deep Review To get started, open any web browser and visit SciSpace.com. I have also provided the affiliated link in the video description, which you can easily copy and paste into your browser. Once you're on the site, you'll see the "Introducing Deep Review" section. You can watch the introduction video there or directly navigate to the Literature Review section. Signing Up & Accessing Deep Review Click on "Deep Review" under the Literature Review section. If you’re not signed in, you’ll be asked to log in or create an account. If you don’t have an account yet, sign up for free. Since I already have an account, I will log in and access the Deep Review feature. How to Use SciSpace's Deep Review for Literature Searches Once logged in, using Deep Review is simple: Enter a Search Query: For example: "What is the relationship between climate change and media?" To get the latest research, specify a time frame, such as post-2020 published research papers. Hit Enter to begin the search. Refining Your Query: SciSpace will prompt you to refine your search by specifying: Types of media (e.g., social media, traditional news outlets, documentaries). Platforms (e.g., Twitter, TikTok, Facebook). Focus areas (e.g., public perception of climate change). I chose social media, so the query was automatically enhanced to: "Investigate the relationship between climate change and social media in post-2020 research papers." Running the Literature Review: Click Submit, and the tool will start retrieving relevant literature. The process may take up to 3 minutes, during which you can track progress. The tool analyzes thousands of research papers, scanning their titles and abstracts. How SciSpace Deep Review Works SciSpace’s Deep Review functions like an AI-driven research assistant, mimicking human discovery using Natural Language Processing (NLP). Here’s how it works: It analyzes thousands of papers (e.g., in this search, it scanned 1,750 papers). It filters out relevant results (e.g., 277 papers matched my query). It then broadens the search scope using citation tracking: SciSpace retrieves cited references from the initial set of papers. It extracts related papers from citations and references, making the literature review more comprehensive. This is a unique feature that is rarely found in other AI research tools. Viewing and Accessing Research Papers SciSpace Deep Review provides summarized insights on the searched topic. Unlike ChatGPT, which can sometimes generate fake or incorrect references, SciSpace links to actual research papers. If you click on any reference, you can: View the detailed reference information. Open the original research paper. Read the full text (if available). This ensures that your literature review is credible, reliable, and sourced from real academic publications. If you're a researcher, academic, or student, this tool is definitely worth trying out! Upcoming Feature: SciSpace Browser Control But wait – there’s more! SciSpace is not stopping here. They are working on an upcoming feature called SciSpace Browser Control, which will take literature review to the next level. This AI-powered Literature Agent will: Search for papers beyond SciSpace. Retrieve research articles from platforms like Google Scholar, ScienceDirect, and more. Provide an even broader and deeper academic search experience. If you want to be among the first to try the Browser Control Agent, you can join the waitlist using the link in the video description.
