RVing at Koreshan State Park-Untold History: A Quest For Utopia | DestinatioNow S4 Ep42

After spending a long weekend living at a tiki bar we decide to head to a campsite to recharge and dump our camper. To our surprise, we chose a state park that is FULL of history that most people have never heard about. In this episode, we take you back in time to the late 1800’s, when the Koreshan Unity was alive and functioning as a thriving community based around an unusual belief that the universe is contained inside of the Earth. We find all of this history just a short walk from our campsite as well as a beautiful walking trail through the thick lush foliage of the Koreshan State Park. We highly recommend staying at this campsite as there is so much to see and do just out your backdoor. After a day and night at the state park we head on down to the Imperial River for a sight-filled paddle on the water. As we spend the day lazily floating down the river we get to see turtles, herons, ergots, iguanas, and even accidentally spook to a 5 foot alligator!
