In this episode we run loose in North Carolina. While in Carolina Beach we camp for 2 nights at the state park, help some young college boys get their vehicle unstuck from the sandy beach, then head to the Outer Banks to see what all the fuss is about. We find ourselves struggling to find an available and affordable ferry to take us to the islands. After two days of trying to get on a ferry, we decide maybe this destination will have to wait. Fortunately, another awesome, nostalgic location is on our list. Mayberry! The Andy Griffith Show was huge in our lives and we are thrilled to get to visit Andy’s hometown and tour around Mayberry…Mount Airy. We’ll take you back to the 1960’s as we wander the town reminiscing all the tv set buildings and props. Nick even gets to sit in Floyd the barber’s barber chair and have a hilarious conversation with his son, Bill Hiatt. We are the Suttons and we have decided to live full-time our 2005 Lance cabover camper and travel the country. This season we are traveling through several southern states in an attempt to have our first ever warm winter as snowbirds. In our episodes, we like to offer you a realistic view of what it is like to live full time on the road in a truck camper, no holding back like other channels. It’s not all just beautiful views and sunsets, life on the road has many challenges that we like to bring to you every week.
