I know that many people just use two raster layers for frequency separation. But I don't think that's the best way of doing it because if you want to make any changes, you have to delete the layers and start over. In this video, I'll show you my way of doing frequency separation that'll save you a lot of time. It's nondestructive and fully editable. By using Smart Objects, you can change the settings as many times as you like and whenever you like. And this is very useful for portrait retouching.
