In this video I’m doing a hands-on review of the brand new SwitchBot Air Purifier with Table, and it’s honestly one of the more practical smart home gadgets I’ve tested lately. It’s an air purifier, a legit side table, it has ambient lighting, and there’s even built-in Qi wireless charging on the top. SwitchBot designed it with pet owners in mind (floating hair removal, odor control, pet-focused grill and filter), but I’ll be real—even without pets, it still makes a lot of sense if you want cleaner air and a piece of furniture that doesn’t look like a “device.” I walk through setup (including the important step: remove the plastic from the filter… which I forgot at first), then I break down the features like the PM2.5 color-based light indicator, preset ambient colors, and the fragrance box for diffusing scents—because yes, we love essential oils around here. I also talk about noise (down to 20dB), pricing ($219.99 for the purifier, $269.99 for the table version), and what I like about the clean, minimal design. Finally, I get into smart home integration: Matter support exists, but in Apple Home it only shows up as a basic on/off switch. I’m hoping SwitchBot expands that so we can control fan speed and lighting in a future update.
