In this video, I put Rosco (my Maltipoo) to the test with 4 different “cup” brain games to see if he’s actually as smart as he looks. I’m basically watching how he problem-solves in real time—does he use his nose, does he paw, does he get frustrated, and how quickly does he figure out the pattern. It’s one of my favorite ways to add mental enrichment without needing anything fancy, and it’s such a fun way to see your dog’s personality come out. My biggest takeaway is that these little games aren’t just about “is my dog smart?”—they’re about building focus, confidence, and calm thinking. I keep it light and encouraging, and I’m paying attention to how Rosco does when the challenge gets a tiny bit harder.
