Hey friends—welcome to Part 4 of my Christmas Stocking Crochet Along! In this section we’re working the seed stitch (also called the moss stitch), and I’m walking you through it step-by-step in that comfy, no-rush way I like to crochet. This is the part where the stocking really starts getting that gorgeous, textured look, and it’s perfect if you want something that feels fancy but is actually super beginner-friendly once you get the rhythm. I keep this crochet-along relaxed on purpose—pause when you need to, grab a stitch marker, and just stitch along with me. I’m using Loops & Thread yarn, but I also share easy swaps like Red Heart Super Saver if that’s what you have (or what’s easiest to grab). For hooks, I’m bouncing between a 5.0 and 5.5 mm so you can choose the fabric you like—slightly tighter or a little more drapey.
