Elementor or Gutenberg, the block editor that comes with your WordPress installation. In this video I take a look at how they both stack up to one another in terms of their usefulness and long term value. Overall, Elementor was a compelling page builder for WordPress when it came out. Not only could you visually edit your website in real time, it was one of the first front end page builders. Front end meaning you could see the changes you make in real time. Previously, with themes like Headway (now defunct) you had to edit, save and check. A tedious process for sure. WordPress listened and they moved away from being just a text editor with themes like the way Blogger is. Instead, Gutenberg and WordPress allow you to edit and design your website in a very intuitive way. Calling into the question, do you even need page builders anymore for WordPress now that Gutenberg keeps getting better? ▬▬▬ RELATED ► Astra theme and Gutenberg full tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4NKBsx5Rwzg&t=1s ► Elementor and the Hello theme tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vok1-S2LaqA&t=5204s 00:00 Intro 01:32 Price Points 02:36 Limitations 04:14 Learning Curve 05:36 Page speed and web vitals 06:17 Design takeover 07:07 WordPress Themes 08:08 Popups 09:30 Final thoughts 11:02 Subscribe!
