I was scrolling socials recently and I saw an extremely large influencer who is known for making extraordinarily toxic content aimed at the black community, bragging about how she taught her boyfriend how to also manipulate social media for money. Needless to say it pissed me off. I knew that their damaging content was made solely to gain clicks but for someone to be so keenly aware of what they were doing without regard for the consequences, well. Rather than fume or get into a comment section war, I do what I always do when I feel passionate about a topic. I create. Alas here we are.
