Canada is in the middle of a housing crisis, and I'm looking to alleviate that crisis one property at a time. Development Diaries aims to show you the ups and downs, the trials and tribulations, the losses and the wins of real estate development. Big money, big problems, big risks and big rewards are all at play. This episode is the first part of our Dufferin Street project in the Bloorcourt district of Toronto, which has been a roller coaster ride of a development. My focus over the last few years has been on development in the core of Toronto, taking advantage of the city's excellent zoning. Pretty much any lot in Toronto is zoned for a multi-family building. We have been niching down on the "missing middle", which is anywhere from 8 to 10 units in our model. We have a massive year coming with 5-6 projects in construction or on the verge of breaking ground and we intend on filming all of it.
