Day 26: Back & Biceps, Glucose Anomalies & Recovery Tools Today is Day 26 of daily vlogging my retatrutide weight loss journey. It is a cold Tuesday morning, and my voice is shot from a long day of talking yesterday. Despite dehydration and a sore back from standing for 7 hours, I’m heading in for my favorite training day: Back and Biceps. HGH & Glucose Response: Fasting glucose was 84 this morning, which is lower than the 90-100 range I’ve been seeing since bumping HGH to 5IU. Interestingly, my glucose spiked to 92 post-workout despite having zero food in my system for 12 hours. This suggests active gluconeogenesis and fat mobilization during the fasted training session. I have moved my HGH administration to nighttime (5IU Shallow IM) and I am noticing I feel the effects much faster with shallow IM vs SubQ. Workout Performance (Back & Bis): I used new lifting straps today, which made a huge difference. I was able to go up 50lbs on Smith machine bent-over rows and significantly heavier on lat pulldowns. I am focusing on grip involvement for single-arm and seated rows, but the straps were essential for the heavy compound movements. Recovery & Sauna Plans: My back was tight from standing all day yesterday, so I utilized my Chirp pad for relief. Since my current gym lacks amenities, I am seriously considering purchasing a portable steam sauna for the garage to help with recovery and sweating it out post-workout. Lab & Gym Updates: I received an email from the owner of the new gym down the road—bathrooms are being finished, and equipment installation should start soon for a potential month-end opening.
