In New Zealand it's a genuinely designated public road, with no traffic - but being a beach means it's mostly only used by 4WD vehicles and tour buses. No better way to explore it than on an ATV's though... but definitely a lot more fun, and less stressful, when you return with your cellphone in your possession 😅 We would have loved to get all the way up to Cape Reinga, the very top of New Zealand, but as you'll see this day had other plans for us. So yeah, this Northland campervan road trip has had so many hectic moments already, but wow it's beautiful!
