If we're honest though, there's so many in Northland we either don't know about or haven't seen - so today that changes! Maitai Bay and Matauri Bay here we come! Also, best fish and chips in the country? Maitai Bay is mostly known as an underrated gem, but locals call it their favourite. Mataurai Bay doesn't necessarily have the best beach, but the Mataurai Bay holiday park was an amazing spot to reverse up on the edge of the beach and experience some nostalgic New Zealand camping.
