‘Cyril Foster Lecture 2025: 'How to End Wars: Pragmatic Approaches to Peacebuilding' Our two international lecturers were Christine Ahn, Fellow from the Institute for Policy Studies and Founder, Women Cross DMZ, and Lt Gen (Ret) Dan Leaf, US Air Force, both globally recognised speakers on peace activism and peacekeeping. The lecture was introduced by Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Professor Lord Tarassenko, and chaired by Cyril Foster Lecture Chair, Professor Neta Crawford. The lecture was closed by Head of Department David Doyle. More than 180 people joined 2025’s lecture which took place on VE Day on Thursday 8 May 2025 at the Examination Schools.
