Explaining What GSP Represents (Global Smash Power = Skill ???)

People are always wondering what the Elite Smash GSP is, but honestly you shouldn't concern yourself with that, because being in Elite Smash means almost nothing about your skill. What it does mean though, is your *consistency*. But that's if anything. It's mores your consistency against Dedede, King K. Rool, Samus, and all the other common characters on Quickplay. And also in an environment with input delay (but in regards to input delay, I say No Johns). Here's the takeaway from understanding this: truly relax about your GSP knowing it isn't your skill whatsoever- but seriously. It is much easier to get to Elite with Ganondorf spamming strong moves than it is to get to Elite as Marth. It is so much more worthwhile in the long run to be a consistent Marth than a high GSP Ganondorf. And becoming a consistent Marth means losing to Ganondorfs again and again... and again and again and again. Trust me on that one. I've been there.
