DIY Wink Hub Troubleshooting Pairing Z-wave Smart Switches, Outlets and Devices with exclusion mode

Having trouble connecting z-wave smart switches, smart outlets, smart plug in modules and smart light bulbs to your Wink Hub? Today I’m going provide few DIY suggestions that may clear everything up. During the setup process, it is not uncommon for things to go wrong. Let's face it, the connected home can be a challenge. Both the Wink Hub and SmartThings Hub provide features called exclusion mode that can be used to ease the process. I have tried these troubleshooting steps on GE, Leviton, Lutron, Inovelli, iHome, Linear and other devices so I am sure they work. The guide is useful for lights, modules and switches. Knowing how to exclude a device is an important step in z-wave troubleshooting. The Wink exclusion mode can be tricky to find, so this video provides step by step instructions for both finding the feature as well as showing how to factory reset devices.
