It’s Christmas Eve, I’m doing that classic dad thing of checking the last train home… and I spot something that made me properly laugh. The formation shows Rudolph at the front, then the sleigh, eight coaches, and a very festive loadout: presents, more presents, coal, “mold,” wine, and a support vehicle. The operator is listed as the “Lapland Santa planning team,” and the train info even mentions things like first class sleepers and milk and cookies. Best bit: when you scroll the full stopping pattern, it looks like it stops at basically every station in the UK… except a couple where it just blasts through, which feels like a cheeky in-joke from Santa’s planning team.
